Use Facebook Ad Manager to search your audience.

Look for people by age, income level, location, sex, and the type of things they like.  Selling sheet music, for instance? Then look for people on Facebook who have identified themselves as playing an instrument, or liking other music stores in your area. You can broaden or narrow your sweep to get the right number of people you want to target.

Upload your email database to Facebook

It will find those customers in the Facebook world. This allows you to serve ads directly to your existing customers, as well as their extended networks of family and friends. This method allows you to start with a proven audience

Leverage custom audiences.

If you create a custom audience using one of the downloads described above, or you simply construct your own set of preferences, Facebook can create a “look alike audience” with similar likes and preferences.  This can help expand your audience base significantly.
